Public Announcement from the Athens County Veteran Service Office
The Athens County Veteran Service Office is committed to the safety and well-being of our community. As novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be of growing concern, The Athens County Veteran Service office will take all possible and appropriate measures to maintain safety while continuing to offer support to our veterans.
As of 6/23/2020 THE OFFICE WILL BE OPEN. Walk-in Services are still suspended. Services will be provided by appointment only. If you need an appointment, please call, 740-592-3216. If you have an appointment please enter the office mask will be required at all times while in the building. If you don't have a mask, one can be provided to you. Vestibule capacity is one person and lobby capacity is no more than three persons at a time. We also ask that you follow proper social distancing guidelines when possible.
Travel Reimbursement Applications can be mailed out during this time. They are also available at the Drop Box in front of the building. We request that you mail or drop them off once completed in the Drop Box by the front entrance entrance.
Contract Travel with RSVP is limited to case by case basis. If you need a ride please call. This is based on urgency and driver availability. Dialysis and Cancer treatments are the only available transports at this time as the VA has canceled most face to face meetings.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Closed Saturday, Sunday and all Federal Holidays.
Commissioner Meetings are every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month unless its a Holiday, then the meeting will be held on Tuesday of that week.
Meetings Start at 5:00 p.m.
